Summary
If Link Repair fixes a link within an Excel file using an extension of .ods or .xlsb it is mistaken as an older format and upgraded to .xls format.
Solution
1. Rename the effected files to the .xls extension
2. If the file is required to be the .ods or .xlsb extension then use the Excel Save As command to convert it.
